Where are appointments held?
Face to Face Counselling takes place at Brewery Lane, WN7 2RJ. Easily accessed from Manchester and surrounding areas. Free parking nearby and the guided bus route/bus stops are a few minutes walk.
Telephone and Zoom can be done wherever you are comfortable.
What happens on the initial 30 minute appointment?
The first appointment is an opportunity for us to meet and to ensure you feel comfortable working together. We can talk about what you want to bring to the sessions and I can answer any questions you may have.
Is everything confidential?
Everything is confidential and stays between counsellor and client. There are a few exceptions to this which Counsellors have to adhere to. These are: Terrorism, Serious Harm to yourself or another person, Money Laundering and Drug Trafficking,
Counsellors are also required to have regular supervision. In those one to one sessions cases may be discussed but no one is identified.
How long does each session last?
Sessions will last 50 minutes.
How many sessions will we have?
Sessions vary depending on each individual. Some people need a few sessions, some need more. It really does depend on where you feel you are up to. We can work together to decide when is the best time for you or you can decide when you need to end. Counselling will always be in your best interest.
How often do I have a session?
Counselling Sessions are usually once per week, on the same day and time. This is so I can accommodate all appointments. There can be some flexibility if you need it. Please ask if you have any questions.
What happens if I need to change or cancel an appointment?
If you need to change or cancel an appointment please give as much notice as possible or at least 24 hours notice. If a session is cancelled out of this time, the full session fee will be charged to cover costs.
How can I pay for my sessions?
Face to Face, Telephone & Zoom Counselling: Payment to be made 48 hours in advance of each appointment. Payment can be made via bank transfer, from your banking app directly to my phone number, via the button below or if you have the PayPal app on your phone you can press 'Send' at the bottom of your screen and enter my phone number 07789343624 at the top of the screen and follow instructions. A reminder email is also sent 48 hours before appointments with payment information.
If you wish to pay for your following appointment by card, you may do so on the day of your appointment. Initial fee to be paid before appointment. Thank You.
What information do I need to provide?
Information such as name, address and a few other bits of data are taken before your first appointment, don't worry it won't take long. I will send you a form to fill in via email. This information is kept confidential in-line with GDPR requirements.
Covid
Please do no make a face to face appointment if you have any symptoms relating to Covid. Thank You.
